Walking into the condo the wonderful ocean view will cause you to stop and take pause looking out the large picture window and sliding glass door. With the unit facing southwest, the ocean views go from west looking out to sea, to south looking down the coast. It is a gated property, approximately one mile north of Brookings. With vaulted ceilings ,upgraded fixtures, granite counter tops and other upgrades, this top floor unit (1 1/2 flights of stairs as it is set into the bank) is a very nice property, well furnished with all the comforts of home to make your stay a memorable one. By The Sea has breathtaking views of the ocean from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and patio outside. Relax watching the waves crashing below, boats going by, and keep your eyes peeled for a whale! The unit is well stocked, very comfortable, and inviting with "By The Sea" decor. The unit is not equipped with A/C due to the fact that it rarely gets hot on the ocean bluff which is located in a banana belt and there is usually a really nice ocean breeze that keeps temperatures cooler. The unit does have an extra-large slider door that leads to the closed-in patio. There is an electric fireplace in the living room which provides a nice ambiance. Both bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans as well. Harris Beach State Park is located just two miles south of the condos and Lone Ranch Beach is located just north of the complex. Speaking of salmon fishing, the world-famous Rogue River is just about 30 miles north at the town of Gold Beach. The Rogue offers world class salmon fishing for much of the year, and guides with boats are readily available. In addition to beach combing or just relaxing, there are a variety of activities available locally. In the summer one can pick blackberries nearby. Or you can venture into quaint little Brookings to visit antique shops or specialty kite stores. Although one doesn’t vacation on the Oregon coast because of its restaurants, there are several good restaurants in town, including some excellent ethnic restaurants. The Southern Oregon Coast is beautiful with spectacular rocky formations punctuating the surf. The woods are beautiful including the impressive giant redwoods just over the border in California (just a few miles from Seahorse Manor). And in the fields near Seahorse Manor, growers produce their world-famous Easter lilies. Seahorse Manor offers accommodations for eight people. A truly beautiful few minutes private access walk along a well groomed winding path and over a wooden bridge to our private deeded beach will lead you to Rainbow Rock's own pot of gold, a cave with unique rock formations which are a geological wonder. When the sun is pouring into the cave colorful rocks go dancing before your very eyes! The beach has driftwood and sea stacks, star fish and mussels, and you will be able to have enjoyable long walks along the coast toward the town of Brookings. Access to this beach is private, for owners and their guests (that's you!) and more often than not, you will have it all to yourselves! If you like whale watching, pristine tide pools, beachcombing, star gazing, sensational sunsets, hiking (the Coastal Trail is practically at your door step), and sitting in the condo or on the deck watching the waves roll in, then you've picked the perfect place--our balcony! Seasonally, whales stop to socialize with one another right in front of the Rainbow Rock condos, often staying for days at a time. They seem to love showing off by spouting and flipping their tails up in the air, almost like they are inviting you to come play. There is a lookout place just below our condo on Highway 101 (the Coastal Highway) where people pull over to whale watch. The fantastic Harris Beach State Park, just a mile or so away, has a group of locals who offer whale watching tips during winter migration to Mexico where, in the warmer waters of Baja, their babies are born. Our condo is comfortable and family friendly. It is exceptionally CLEAN and well equiped with furnished linens and kitchen appliances. A gas BBQ is at the ready and a Jen Air stove has a grill. Everything from a popcorn popper to a breadmaker is available for your comfort and use. The master bedroom has its own bathroom and there is also a guest bathroom close to the guest bedroom. The guest bedroom has a double bed and a single bed, the master bedroom has a king size bed, and there is a hide-a-bed in the living room. Pillows are all in protective covers as are the mattresses. The ocean can be seen from most rooms in the condo, exceptions are the bathrooms and the guest bedroom which overlooks the Rainbow Rock complex. The rhythmic sound of the ocean can be heard from the living, masterbedroom, and kitchen areas, especially when the sliding glass doors and windows are open, adding to the atmosphere of being at the fabulous Oregon Coast. From this condo highway traffic is not heard so you can enjoy the deck while reading, visiting or just watching the exciting ocean scene. Experience the smells and sounds of the rolling sea; listen to the sea lions barking; watch sea birds fly overhead; look for spouting whales; and catch a glimpse of Point St. George Lighthouse in the distance. The Chateau Polliwog cottage has been recently renovated with new flooring, paint, windows, stove, washer/dryer, hot water heater, kitchen sink, and new bathrooms. It offers new queen size beds and new linens.

Cabin is ideal for couples, anniversaries, and honeymooners. Located within Whaleshead Beach Resort. There is a hot tub on the wrap around deck to enjoy the beautiful ocean and forest views as well as those starry, starry nights . The cabin sits up high in a small valley overlooking the ocean with the fog drifting in and out carrying with it that moist clean smell of the ocean and the forest. Watching the storms come in is one of our favorite things to do. The ever changing view sometimes feels like your in a treehouse. The Samuel Boardman State Park trails are breathtaking and you can catch the trail about five minutes away near the entrance to Whaleshead Beach. The Jedediah Smith Redwoods are 30 mins South. One hour South is the not to be missed Prairie Creek State Park and Fern Canyon (where parts of Jurassic Park were filmed) with Elk viewing. Six miles South in Brookings there are many restaurants and entertainment. Usually after a day or two of adventure, we and our guests simply fire up the BBQ and set back in the deck rocker or hot-tub to enjoy watching the many varieties of birds: wild turkeys, stellar jays, and quail, hummingbirds and occasional osprey to name a few. During the months of the whale migration (December-January) you might get lucky enough to spot a whale or two. But many guests have seen whales year round. We have binoculars available for your search. There are queen beds in both the master bedroom and the loft. It is one small step up into cabin, but a very steep stairwell to the loft. Ceiling is low in the loft and unless your miniature, you can't stand up. Not recommended for children because the loft has an open area small children could fall through. We are located six miles North of Brookings, Oregon and just ten miles from the Northern California Border. We have a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, pots, pans. Coffee and a small amount of spices. We enjoy the ocean view while we're cooking. There is a coin operated laundromat on the resort property, but not in the cabin. The Living Room has a queen size sleeper sofa, a recliner and big overstuffed chair. Perfect for lying around and doing NOTHING! . There is a 42" TV, and WiFi. Another TV is located in the master bedroom. There is a small library of DVD's and and books available. Many board games, cards, and puzzles.

We are downtown, in the heart of Brookings. We are located 2 blocks down from HWY 101, which is the home of multiple restaurants, shops, and businesses. Our home is located in a mix of residential and commercial buildings. We are in walking distance to Mill Beach, and the Chetco Point, both of which are very nice secluded beaches. This three bedroom home, also includes a spare room. There is one bath, which includes a tub shower combination. The flooring is oak throughout and carpet in the living room, and family room. We have a wood stove and provide a limited amount of fire wood. The home also has three electric wall heaters. The home is complete with a washer and dryer, dishwasher, pots and pans, coffee grinder, french press, coffee maker, spices, space heaters, linens, blankets, towels, internet, roku tv, and a small music box. Our home sleeps 6 comfortably. We have three king beds, and two twins. We have 1 king in the master room, 1 king in the second bedroom, 2 twins in the third room, and 1 king in the fourth room. Because of the location, you can park the car, and walk to have a nice breakfast, lunch or dinner. The yard is fenced. Order deli sandwiches from the Railroad Market to take to the beach. We don’t allow pets.
